The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is low-cost, typically leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one service is making the most of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
